San Dimas FAWM Songwriters Showcase March 14, 2009

I had the priviledge of playing in San Dimas, Ca last month for a songwriters showcase called “FAWM.” I also was able to film it. Along with about 17 other performers, I sang 2 songs that I wrote for the challenge called “February Album Writing Month,” or “FAWM.” The online community over at http://FAWM.org grows every year bursting with new talent from many different musical genres. The goal is for each person to write 14 songs in the shortest month of the year. This was my second time participating in FAWM but was my first time playing my original songs in public. At the end of February some participants plan what’s known as a “FAWM Over Party,” or “FOP.” Their were some wonderful FOP’s all over the world as we came to know and our FOP in southern California was held in San Dimas and was hosted by Steven Wesley Guiles.

With 17 performers and about 30 other people, it was a packed house and the night totally rocked! It even felt like family as many of us came to know each other on the forums over at http://FAWM.org.
